The free show runs through Sunday |
The St. Paul RV Supershow at RiverCentre is showcasing a vibrant pink Vintage Cruiser travel trailer, capturing attention as if it's set for a camping adventure with Barbie. Kirk O’Farrell from Markquart RV in Ramsey, Minn., is optimistic about its popularity, envisioning significant sales.
The eye-catching pink Gulf Stream Coach creation is prominently displayed at an event price of $25,999, among the many trendy outdoor lifestyle options featured at this free show. Now in its second year in downtown St. Paul, the event has seamlessly taken over from the retired Sportsmen’s Show by Cenaiko Productions.
Darren Mann of K&D Productions, the show's promoter, expresses a positive perspective, contrasting with concerns raised by the previous organizer, particularly regarding crime in the city. Mann appreciates the venue's convenience for vendors and emphasizes the show's extensive outreach, drawing visitors not just from the metro area but also from southeast Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
The RV trends on display are diverse, with the nostalgic 1950s Vintage Cruisers gaining popularity alongside more modern options resembling tiny homes. Manufacturers are embracing the concept of luxurious RV living, incorporating features like spacious kitchens and bathrooms, electric fireplaces, double sinks, walk-in closets, USB charging stations, LED lighting, outdoor kitchens, and porches.
Mann, an empty nester who recently sold his RV dealership, is eager to hit the road with his wife. Favoring the Venture RV SportTrek Touring Edition Luxury Travel Trailer showcased at the event, he exemplifies the desire to indulge in a bit of luxury while on the road.
For those not in the market to purchase, the show offers additional attractions, including a trout pond and activities by Fishing for Life. Geared towards providing kids with an outdoorsy experience, these activities add a family-friendly dimension to the event.
The St. Paul RV Supershow, resembling an Auto Show but for recreational vehicles, features RV dealers, camping and outdoorsy vendors, live events, and interactive exhibits. Running from noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the St. Paul RiverCentre, admission is free. Attendees are encouraged to park in the RiverCentre Parking Ramp on Kellogg Boulevard, with skyway access to St. Paul RiverCentre.
